We went into town to do some shopping. On the way back we came across this marvelous sunset. The photo looks almost like a painting - it was one of my favourites for the whole trip

The Mauritius market - very colourful, wonderful atmosphere and wonderful produce

Our most recent holiday was to Tanzania. First stop was Mauritius - this is our two star hotel ... life's tough!

Summit of Mt Hartz. Four hour walk, 450 meters gain in altitude. Wonderful view, and a nice picnic.

Lake Hartz, southern Tasmania. We walked there on a beautiful summers day and had a lovely picnic on the summit of Mt Hartz.

Sevenhills winery

whenever I visit Clare Valley I always go to Sevenhills ... their winery is evocative and historic, and the wines have always been reliable.

The road to Auburn in the Clare Valley is lined with wonderful stone walls, a poignant reminder of the hardship experienced in the 1930's. The walls are in good condition, which means they are practical as well as good looking!

This is a familiar site at John and Isabel's house overlooking the Murray River in South Australia

Easter 2007

This Easter Di and Robert travelled to Mannum to visit Rob's parents, and then on to Canberra to visit Di's family and celebrate her fathers 80 birthday. We both had a great time. Later in the week, Di's brother from New Jersey and his family came to Tasmania for a holiday.

Preparation

We bought "feeling swell" at Middle Harbour, Sydney. Neaby Clontarf marina hosted her as we prepared the yacht for the trip to Hobart.

Sunset - Yellow creek, Kakadu

Agnes, our guide, was fantastic - nothing escaped her sharp sense of place and sight. She was able to pick up the most insignificant detail and bring it to our attention. The sunset did not need pointing out ... fantastic! Thanks Agnes for letting us experience your place.
